Viswanathan Anand defeats Boris Gelfand to win a fourth consecutive World Chess Championship.

World Chess champion Viswanathan Anand, who defeated Boris Gelfand in a tie-breaker to retain his title on Wednesday,and $1.53 million going to the winner. Anand, who won the four game series 2.5-1.5 (1 win and 3 draws), will keep the FIDE(World Chess Federation) world title he has held since 2007(4 times) for another two years. 
Anand was born on 11 December 1969 in Mayiladuthurai, a small town in Tamil Nadu. Anand has won the World Chess Championship five times (2000, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012)
